It would probably take most people less time however #1 we wanted our toddler to be highly involved and #2 I’m a perfectionist and had to keep messing with it until each piece sat just right. The whole thing took us about 2 1/2 hours to complete. It’s also a good activity for developing their fine motor skills. The base of the roller coaster kept her entertained for about 45 minutes (which is HUGE when it comes to occupying a toddler). Regardless, my daughter had a great time helping put it together. It’s just very intricate, especially if you want it to come out exactly like the picture. However, I really don’t think a 6 year old would be able to complete this on their own. I really enjoyed it because it is very puzzle-like. They consist of a few tiny pictures on the back of the box, so when you’re trying to figure out where these 173 pieces go, it becomes somewhat challenging. This was one of the more challenging kits offered, and it did take quite a bit of effort from both myself and my husband as the directions are very minimal.

Plus I thought all the characters were adorably spooky and we could keep it out through October. There’s no way my daughter would be able to do this on her own, like I mentioned she’s only 3, but as a family craft, I thought this would be perfect. My daughter is three, so I was looking for something simple we could all do together. One new tradition we’ve just started (this year actually) is to do some Halloween crafts with the family. This was one of the hottest Florida summers we’ve had recently, so I am ready for some cool weather! It’s still in the 90’s but I’ve got my fall candles burning, my cocoa stash fully stocked and am in the process of putting my fall decor out.
